Wykeham Strategy is seeking Partners to lead engagements in Mission-Critical B2B Enterprise Software.

About Wykeham

Wykeham is a commercial strategy consultancy for mid-market private equity investors and companies. We work on the decisions that matter most: what to acquire, where to grow, and whether a competitive position holds. Our focus is the chokepoints in the AI buildout, across telecommunications and digital infrastructure, mission-critical B2B enterprise software and industrial technology.

Our model is senior-led. Named Partners lead every engagement, supported by specialists chosen for direct experience of the problem.

Wykeham’s founder, Christopher Redding, brings twenty years across commercial strategy, capital formation, intellectual property licensing economics and business building, and has founded or led five ventures.

The sector

In enterprise software, durability is decided by how central a platform is to the customer's work and how hard it is to switch away, not by headline growth. Value concentrates in vertical platforms, core infrastructure and compliance-critical software, and in the mid-market, where that durability is not yet priced.

The opportunity

You will lead engagements in your sector and stay accountable for delivery and quality, supported by specialists from the firm’s pool. You lead the team and decide the approach, within the agreed scope and quality standards.

What you will do

  • Lead commercial due diligence, growth strategy and voice-of-the-customer engagements in your sector
  • Shape the scope and approach of each engagement
  • Choose specialists from our pool, or propose your own, onboarded through the firm
  • Own the quality of the work and sign off the final answer
  • Build direct relationships with senior clients
  • Help bring in new opportunities, where you choose to

Why join

  • Real authority over the work you lead
  • A workload and availability agreed with you upfront
  • A share of every engagement fee, plus credit for clients you introduce
  • Progression as the firm grows, subject to results

What we look for

  • 7+ years in strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, transaction advisory or private equity, at Director, Partner or equivalent level
  • Proven leadership of commercial strategy or due diligence engagements in your exact sector
  • A track record of scoping complex projects, managing senior clients and leading teams
  • Willingness and ability to integrate AI across your work, at a minimum through practical, everyday use
  • Resourceful, collaborative and a clear communicator
  • Willingness to share an approved public profile
  • Legally able to provide these services in the US or the UK
  • Willingness to co-author thought leadership through our marketing system, with support, tools and credit provided (terms negotiable)

Working arrangement

This is an independent, non-exclusive role, with potential to become full-time and exclusive. Your availability and workload are agreed upfront. Travel and meetings are agreed within each engagement. We work remotely, potentially moving to a hybrid model in the future.
